Roblox Down: Thousands of Users Report Error Codes and Login Failures
Roblox faced a major outage as thousands reported login failures and error codes, including 9007 and 504 Gateway Timeout, affecting users worldwide.
Users report widespread Roblox outages with login errors and server timeouts across multiple regions.

On the 19th of December, a serious outage occurred on Roblox, and as a consequence, the platform was completely inaccessible to a vast number of users. The monitoring service Down Detector data indicated almost an 80% rise in outage notifications, with the peak of reports being around 9:50 AM IST when the number of reports reached almost 28,000. During the peak period of complaints, reports suddenly dropped to zero for about 20 minutes but soon the problems returned with even more reports being filed—over 6,500—indicating that the server was still unstable.
majority of the users who were most affected by the outage 65% experienced problems accessing the website and 25% had server connection issues while the rest, i.e. 10%, had their gameplay issues. The vast majority of players all across the globe were very annoyed by the disconnection.
Not only that the outage disturbed the global users, but it also hit the Indian users hard. People who tried to access the website were welcomed with the 504 Gateway Timeout notification, an indication of the server being the side issue that is causing the slowness. While the number of reports from India was about 500 less at the time of writing, some users were still complaining of limited access occasionally.
Roblox has openly acknowledge the issue and assured they are doing everything to fix it. They specifically said, "investigating an issue preventing users from accessing the website." According to Down Detector the locations that suffered most from the outage were the big US cities like Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, and Atlanta. The social media went crazy with user complaints and updates on the outage.
A lot of the users faced the 9007 error code which is commonly shown when a website is not able to keep a strong server connection. ISP problems, slow internet connections, or the use of a VPN can cause this error. Users located in India mainly associated the 504 Gateway Timeout error with the server-side problem rather than the 9007 error which is linked to the server's incapacity to respond quickly owing to either maintenance works or problems at the data center.
Roblox has not communicated anything about the downtime cause or the time frame for it to be totally fixed. The firm is advising the information seekers to keep an eye on its official notifications until the developer returns to the pre-downtime situation.
